Pulsar Online Slot (RTG) Review – Best US Slots

The unusual-looking Pulsar online slot has an astronomy theme. Pulsar was released by the game provider RTG in January 2020. When you open this RTG online video slot for the first time, the unusual honeycomb grid with outer space in the background will be your first impression. Pulsar is a 3×5 grid, 20 fixed payline cascading reel slot.

Pulsar Online Slot Machine Review

On the game grid, you will mostly see stars, planets, comets, and meteorites. All of them are in constant motion. With this game, instead of the standard reels and paylines, cascading symbols play the game. The usual slot machine features you expect from a slot game, such as free spins and symbols, such as wild and scatter, are not comprised in Pulsar.

Cluster Win

As a combination form, you will find that the winning combination’s symbols will disappear, allowing others to appear and create additional wins. You can find this gameplay in various slot games under different names, such as cluster or avalanche, but the results are the same.

Exploding Symbols

Instead of wilds or scatters, you will have four exploding Neutron Stars. They explode in a unique pattern, affecting certain symbols around them. Green Stars explode left to right; Blue Stars go off up and down. Red Neutron Stars explode to the adjacent corners. Pink Neutron Stars blast to adjacent sides.

When the Neutron Stars land, it starts with a random countdown number from 3 to 1 and will count down to 0 with each spin, so they stay on the grid for that number of rounds before they go off.

Whenever a Neutron Star explodes, a random symbol replaces the explosion’s space, giving you extra chances to get winning combinations.

Result of the Review

Pulsar is a low volatility game.

It is six months since RTG released the game, and the reason for only reviewing it now is that I’m an old-timer. I prefer slots that look like slot machines – with spinning reels and dazzling symbols. I started playing slot when there were only fruits and bars on the reels. So Pulsar was strange to me when I first tried it. I didn’t even consider it a proper slot machine and gave it a miss then. However, yesterday, when I finally agreed to play it for a review, I realized that it was not a bad game at all.

It had given out winning combinations pretty frequently for me. Those winnings made my gaming exciting and entertaining. So, regarding gaming, it’s okay. Pulsar is particularly suitable for casual player who plays for entertainment.

It is a fully responsive RTG game and is available for either download or instant play version for all platforms, including PC and Mac desktops, iPad, Android on Tablets, and all mobile phones.
